Tulum & Sian Ka'an
Caribbean ruins, cenotes and the Sian Ka'an biosphere — the slower, wilder side of the Riviera Maya.

Best season
November to April — dry, less humid, minimal sargassum.
What it costs
Budget to mid: MXN 900-2500/night. Sian Ka'an boat tour roughly MXN 1800 per person.
Getting there
Fly into Cancun (CUN) or Tulum (TQO); ADO bus or a rental car south along Highway 307, about 1h45m from Cancun.
Getting around
Colectivos along the 307 highway are cheap and constant; rent a car for cenotes and the biosphere.
